Extension Main Settings
Your NEWT PBX was installed with all your Extensions pre-configured as per the information that you have provided us. Some settings can be updated by you and are indicated below in Bold.

Extension – the 3-digit number assigned, for calls to flow to and from this extension.
Unified Ext – If a user has two phones that they want to be connected to manage calls (such as a newt desktop + a newt mobile), NEWT will unify them. The main extension will show a check mark indicating this is the “Main” extension where all calls will flow through. Voicemail and other settings should always be managed on the main extension.
Name - The extension name of the person you have assigned the extension to. You can change the name on this extension here.
Type - the associated phone or type of extension (if virtual or remote etc.)
MAC Address - This column indicates the MAC Address of a physical phone assigned to this extension (the MAC address is a hardware identifier that uniquely identifies each device on a network).
Model - if this is physical phone, the model will be shown here.
Offline TN - The NEWT PBX is structured to allow for automatic disaster recovery, by having the ability to forward calls if ANY local condition (i.e.: power failure) occurs. This will forward calls that are directly routed to the extension, to the Offline Number entered. You can add or change this.
Voicemail to Email - This column indicates the email address that Voicemails will be sent to. This feature will automatically send the user the audio voicemail as a .wav file attachment. Note that if you have purchased Voicemail to Text Transcriptions, a transcript will also be sent. The email address can be updated by you.
Outbound Caller ID – This is the phone number being displayed to callers, for this extension. You can change this by selecting a different number already listed in your PBX. However, notice this is the number used for 911 address identification. Therefore, the number chosen to be displayed, should be related to the address where this user is located (see E911 section for further details).
E911 Only – If you don’t want the above outbound ID to be displayed, but you do want a unique 911 address identification for this user (perhaps they are working from home or a satellite office), this will be check marked (see E911 section for further details).
