Find Me Follow Me - Extension Call Flows for Users
Your Extension can be programmed so that phone calls follow a certain path (known as dial sequences) to find you, wherever you are during certain times or all of the time.
You will first require credentials to log in to your extension configuration in the NEWTCF interface. Please contact your company's PBX Administrator for credentials. Once signed in, navigate to the Call Flow Tab of your extension.
Default Dial Sequence
This is a simple configuration suitable for most generic extensions. It allows for a maximum of two steps, on a persistent basis. Typically, an extension rings four times, and then goes to that extension’s voicemail. You can, however, tell the call to go to (“follow”) another extension, a call queue or hang up after ringing the extension. Simply choose the behaviour you want this call to follow.

The Acknowledged toggle: After picking up your phone, if you first want to press 1 to “acknowledge” a call, before saying hello, rather than being on the live call instantly, this can be turned on using the toggle. By default, this is turned off.

You can also tell the system to automatically behave a certain way as soon as the call comes in (rather than ringing your phone first, and then following a command).
In the first field, the selections you can make are:
Dial - another extension or phone number before next steps. Even if it dials an external number such as your cell phone, if the call isn't answered, it will follow your next steps.
Voicemail - send the call directly to a voicemail box.
Follow - go to another extension right away. The call will exit your extension immediately.
Call Queue - The call will enter the queue you choose to send it to. Note that for ACD Queues, if no one is available to take calls in the queue, once the queue time out occurs, the call will come back to your extension and follow the next steps (such as go to voicemail).
Alternate Dial Sequence - Advanced Steps
This is a more complex dial sequences that can be extended to up to six steps, and offers Time of Day scheduling for your work hours.
Click here for a short tutorial, or follow the instructions below:
Always Enabled option: Alternate Dial Sequence is always on.

Time and Day Scheduling
Enabled On: This enables the Alternate Dial Sequence on a scheduled basis. A daily scheduling option will appear.

Set your scheduling times based on when you will be available to take the calls.
Then set the extension to be dialed and for how many rings.
Continue setting more steps for the call to take if the call isn’t answered within the set ring amount (this is the “Find me follow me” feature to try calling another extension or try your cell phone as an example).
Ensure the last step is “then” and sets a termination point (i.e.: voicemail or hang up)
Finally, set the default dial sequence (first line in orange) so that the system knows what to do with the call outside of the scheduled hours (for example, go straight to your voicemail).
Once you have completed your steps, ensure to save the changes. This program will begin working within about 30 seconds after saving.
