Voicemail Access and Set Up
How to Set up and Access your Voicemail

Setting up your Voicemail

To first access your voicemail, begin by pressing the "“Messages” button on your handset or by dialing *98 from your NEWT phone.

  1. You will be prompted to enter the temporary password initially defaulted, which is your extension number.

  2. The system will prompt you to enter a new password. The new password must not be your extension number. The system will prevent you from moving forward, if you attempt to re-enter your extension number as your new password.

  3. Once your new password is set, you will then receive prompts from the system, to record your name and your Unavailable message.

Note - if you have forgotten your new password, this can be retrieved or reset by logging into your extension via your NEWTCF instance or by asking your NEWT PBX Administrator to retrieve or reset it for you.

Retrieving your Voicemail

  1. From your extension: dial *98 or press the "Messages" button on your handset. Follow the prompts to listen to your voicemail.

  2. From and outside line: dial the phone number your company has provided for this purpose, and then enter the access code provided. Follow the prompts to enter your extension number followed by your voicemail password.

  3. Voicemail to Email - if voicemail to email was set up on your extension, you will receive emails with .wav attachments to play.

Temporary Greetings
