Voicemail‑to‑Text Transcription is an enhanced messaging feature within the NEWT PBX environment, that automatically converts voicemail audio into written text, making messages more accessible, searchable, and easy to action. It leverages advanced speech‑to‑text technology to deliver near‑real‑time transcriptions directly to the user’s email address, along with the voicemail audio file.

Additional Transcription Insights Feature is built in to add key words to the subject line based on analysis of words within the recording. This includes sentiments such as “URGENT” to help users prioritize or focus on specific voicemails.

Voicemail to Text Transcription is a paid feature that can be purchased per NEWT Business Phone PBX instance.

Once set up, as long as your extension has your email set up for Voicemail to Email delivery, you will also receive transcriptions.
