Contacts
“Quick dials” is the first list of contacts you’ll see. These contacts are ones that you have manually input for yourself.
“Global Directory” is pre-populated with all the extensions listed within your PBX environment as well as the external “Global Directories” contacts that your administrator has added to your PBX environment. *To reveal or hide particular extensions, please contact your NEWT PBX administrator.
Use the drop-down menu to switch between the two lists.

Adding Quick Dials
Create quick dials as a shortcut in the Contacts tab for the contacts the users call frequently. The quick dial contact also displays underneath the dialer in the Keypad tab.
Select the Contacts tab from the left navigation menu.
Select the Add + icon beside Quick Dial. Add a quick dial window displays.
Enter a contact name and phone number in the fields.
Select the User icon to assign an image to a quick dial contact.
Select the Save button.
Busy Lamp Field (BLF) Status Settings
While your NEWT PBX environment has this extension feature available, this setting does not transfer to your NEWT Mobile application. Rather, the BLF option is available for users to set up for specific extensions within the environment.
To Turn on BLF for a particular extension, toggle on the Busy Lamp Field button.
Editing Quick Dials
When the names or the phone numbers in Quick Dials need changes, update them in the Contacts tab.
Select the Contacts tab from the left navigation menu.
Right-click the contact. An option menu displays.
Select Edit. An Edit Quick Dial Entry window display.
Make changes as required in the text fields.
Select the Save button.
Deleting Quick Dials
When contact(s) in Quick Dials no longer exist, remove them in the Contacts tab.
Select the Contacts tab from the left navigation menu.
Right-click the contact. An option menu displays.
Select Delete.
Select Yes on the confirmation window.
