For incoming calls, the Caller ID Prefix indicates information to be shown to the employee answering the incoming call.
If multiple business names/numbers are on one PBX, the prefix will appear in front of the incoming caller ID on the phone display. This feature can assist a user in knowing how to answer incoming calls.
To add an Inbound Caller ID Prefix to phone numbers in your PBX environment, follow these steps:
As the Administrator, log in to your NEWTCF environment and navigate to the TN tab
In the line item of the TN you want to update, navigate to the column labeled Caller Name Prefix and enter the name you would like displayed to your staff for incoming calls from that TN
Ensure you hit Save and Update to publish the change
