How to Set up Direct Inward System Access

For users that don’t have the NEWT mobile app, this allows them to call into the system from an outside phone and place calls as if they were local to the system, utilizing the business telephone number rather than their personal number.

Call Display will show the business number, and Long-distance charges from the business to the customer, will be applied to the business phone account rather than their personal phone.

To set up access for your employee to utilize DISA:

  1. As the administrator, log into NEWTCF and navigate to the TN Tab

  2. On the Telephone Number line item you wish to use, click on the pencil icon at the end of the line item

  3. In the TN Settings tab, toggle on the "enabled" button

  4. Enter a 4-digit code users will need to enter when using this feature

  5. Pick the Caller ID to be seen, from the drop-down menu

  6. Click on the Add button within the Authorized Phone Numbers section

  7. Add your user's personal phone number

  8. Save the entry

  9. Save and Update the PBX to publish
