GXP2170 Headset Compatibility Information

While NEWT does not sell and is therefore unable to support issues relating to functionality of headsets being used with the GXP2170, we hope this guide will be helpful for users purchasing headsets.

Bluetooth Headsets

The following models have been tested for compatibility and are recommended as the most reliable option:

1. Poly Voyager B5200 (Part # HPP-7D793AA#ABA) - single-ear, lightweight Bluetooth headset with mic. noise cancellation. Click here for Set up instructions

2. Jabra Evolve 65 TE (Part # 6693-839-409-01) - double-ear, lightweight Bluetooth headset with mic. noise cancellation. Dual Bluetooth connectivity allowing it to connect to two devices simultaneously (example: computer and phone). Click here for Set up instructions

Wireless Dect Headsets

While the Bluetooth headsets above are recommended, the following Wireless Dect headsets have also been tested for compatibility with the GXP2170:

1. Leitner LH570 (Part # LH570BS) – double ear wireless office headset with mic. noise cancellation, designed for dual connectivity to both desk phones and computers.

2. Poly Savi 7210 (Part # HPP-85R01AA) - single ear wireless office headset with mic. noise cancellation.

Hook Switch Accessories for Poly Savi

The following Hook Switch EHS cables (cable connection allowing you to remotely answer and end calls with a button on your headset) have been tested for compatibility with the GXP2170 and Poly Savi:

a.      Poly APV-63 Hook Switch (Part # HPP-85R01AA)

b.      Poly APD-80 Hook Switch (Part # HPP-85Q58AA)

Note: DECT headsets with EHS cables may experience automatic line pickup issues when docked. Changing the Grandstream phone’s Headset Type setting to Normal resolves this—though it removes the ability to answer or hang up from the headset.
