Place a Call

Manually:

• When the phone is idle, enter the number to be dialed.

• Take the handset off-hook, or press the Speaker button, or press the Headset button with the headset plugged in, or select an available LINE key. The call will be dialed out.

Redial:

Your phone automatically keeps a record of all calls placed. You can recall the last contact you called using Redial.

• When the phone is in an idle state; Press the SEND key or the REDIAL softkey.

Call History:

• Press the MENU button to bring up the main menu, then enter Call History, or

• Press the “History” soft key when the phone is in an idle state.

• Select the entry you would like to call using the navigation arrow keys.

• Press SEND button to dial out.

Phone Book:

• Press the MENU button to bring up the main menu then enter Contacts; or

• Press the Contacts button.

• Enter Local Phonebook using the navigation arrow keys.

• Select the contact you would like to call.

• Press SEND button to dial the selected contact.

Answer a Call

Single incoming call:

• The phone rings with the selected ring tone. The corresponding LINE key will flash in red.

• Answer call by taking the handset off-hook, or using Speaker/Headset, or pressing the flashing LINE key

Multiple incoming calls:

When another call comes in while having an active call, the phone will produce a Call Waiting tone (stutter tone). The other LINE key will flash in red.

• Answer the incoming call by pressing the flashing LINE key.

• The current active call will be put on hold automatically.

Transferring Calls

Blind Transfer:

• During the first active call, press TRANSFER and dial the number to transfer to;

• Click “Blind Transfer” softkey to complete the transfer of the active call.

Attended Transfer:

• During the first active call, press TRANSFER.

• A new line will be brought up and the first call will be automatically placed on hold;

• Dial the number and press “AttTrnf” soft key to make the second call

• After speaking with the recipient, press TRANSFER again. The call will be transferred.

Do Not Disturb

Do Not Disturb can be enabled/disabled from the phone by following the steps below:

• Enable/disable DND quickly by pressing the Mute button.

Voicemail

A blinking green MWI (Message Waiting Indicator) on the top right corner of the phone indicates a message is waiting.

• Check the voicemail box to retrieve the message by dialing *98; or

• by pressing the Voicemail button; or

• from the Phone’s Menu > Messages

Call Park

Call Park is a feature that allows users to put an ongoing call on hold and retrieve it from any another extension.

• To Park the call, enter *5 and listen for the call park position, or select the park key.

• To unpark the call, enter the call park position number followed by the send key or simply select the park key.

3-Way Call

To initiate a 3-Way call:

While 1 call is active, the other call will be put on hold with its LINE key blinking in green;

• Click on “ConfCall” SoftKey

• Dial the number and press send to establish the second call

The conference will be established after pressing the desired LINE key on hold;

• Press the “UP arrow” key. Then, click on “ConfCall” SoftKey

If after pressing the CONF key, the user decides to cancel the conference;

• Press the “Cancel” soft key or the current active LINE key (LED in solid green). This will resume the 2-way conversation with the current line.

Please note that WIFI Signal Connectivity is only possible with remote and cloud deployed phones and is the sole responsibility of the customer as NEWT is unable to assist with customer WIFI performance.

How to Set Up the Wifi:

1. Use the power cord to power on the phone. When the phone is on and is booted up, you will see no LAN cable.

2. By default, the wifi is disabled, and you need to turn it on:

   • First, click on the middle circular button on the phone.

   • Then go to the second page by scrolling to the right with the right arrow button and click on the settings.

   • Select the option Wi-Fi settings. Under the Wi-Fi, you will see disabled, please enable it.

3. Once its enabled please select what Wi-fi band you need.

   • Next click on scan to find your wifi connection.

   • Find your Wi-Fi network and click on it.

   • Then input your Wi-Fi password. You will then see it trying to connect to your Wi-Fi network.

4. The phone will now show connected but no provisioning yet.

   • You will now need to reboot the phone. So click on the circle button on the phone and scroll to the right and click on reboot .
