For users that don’t have the NEWT mobile app, this allows you to call into the system from an outside phone and place calls as if they were local to the system, utilizing the business telephone number rather than your personal number.
Call Display will show the business number and Long-distance charges from the business to the customer, will be applied to the business phone account, rather than your personal phone.
Before using this feature, your administrator will have set up the authorization for your personal phone number to call in, and you will be given a phone number and an access code.
To use the feature:
Place a call to the local telephone number for which DISA is set up, from your external telephone number that has been entered as an “authorized” number.
Enter the DISA code. The system will render a dial tone.
Once you have the new dial tone, enter the number you wish to connect to.
Note: If your Cell Phone carrier has your name display as “Private” or “Unknown” caller, your phone will not work with the DISA feature as your number needs to pass through the PBX in order to utilize the feature. If this is the case, please contact your cell phone carrier and ask that they remove the “Private” or “Unknown” caller ID.
