Often times, we have more than one phone at different locations or perhaps traveling with only our personal cell phone at hand. With NEWT's Find Me Follow Me feature, more than simple call forwarding, calls can be routed in sequence to other extensions or phone numbers. Wherever you are, the call will find you.
Begin by logging into your extension via NEWTCF (please contact your administrator for log in credentials).
Navigate to the Call Flow tab and look for the Alternate Dial Sequence section
In the Alternate Dial Sequence section, select "Always enabled" or "Enabled on" from the drop-down menu.
Always Enabled - enables the Alternate Dial Sequence permanently 24/7.
Enabled On - enables the Alternate Dial Sequence on a scheduled basis. A daily scheduling option will appear.
There are up to 6 "and" or "then" sequences that you can program the calls to follow. For example: During my work hours, I would like this extension to ring 2 times. If I don't answer, I would like the call to go to my NEWT Desktop extension and ring 2 times. If I don't answer, I would like the call to go to my cell phone and ring 3 times. If I don't answer, I would like the call to go to my extension voicemail.
Note that if you are using the "Enabled on" scheduling feature, you will need to update the Default Dial Sequence (top line in orange) to tell the calls where to go, outside of the scheduled hours. In the case above, calls will go directly to my extension's voicemail.
